Very interesting tribute to the people stationed here during the war. Fascinating memorabilia and personal stories, the book Memories of RAF Witchford is available in the Apex Cafe.

My father was stationed here during the war, (Arthur Eric Billson, DFC. AEA,) he survived the war after completing over 3 tours as a rear gunner and gunnery leader flying in Lancasters and Wellingtons. It is a shame the museum is not open on both Saturday's and Sunday's, and Apex cafe also too coinside their opening times. I'm sure both parties would benefit from each other. Myself and my sisters have met there on several occasions and had been looking forward to the cafe opening, only to find that during the weekend when visiting the museum you are unable to sit and have a coffee and catch-up. The museum is well worth a visit, as I am sure the cafe by the memorial is too. 😀
